Lidl Starts Selling Smartphones

Following in Aldi’s Shoes, German discounter Lidl is also starting to sell off cheap Android-based smartphones. While Aldi launched the Wolfgang brand to promote their line-up of mobile devices, Lidle isn’t taking that route. Instead, the company is offering the smartphones under the name of their manufacturer. Huawei.

Google to Sell Motorola to Huawei!?

According to the Wallstreet Journal, Google is looking to sell its newly purchased Motorola Mobility unit to Huawei. Though Google is set on keeping Motorola’s patents in-house, it will bring Huawei a name the world can pronounce.

MWC: Tizen Beta launched

Palm-one Next to HTC, Reuters expects Huawei to already be talking with Palm about a takeover. Huawei is a competitor of HTC that is known for many operator branded phones in Europe and the US.

Vodafone Launches Brew Phone in EU Markets
