According to research from AndroLib, Windows Phone marketplace now holds over 5.000 apps. The app store was launched earlier this year to facilitate the launch of Windows Phone 7 in October.

Engadget found out Skype is likely to be introducing video conferencing functionality in it’s upcoming iOS releases. The introduction of these functions bring direct competition to Apple’s FaceTime.

It seems News Corp managed to find a new owner for it’s Fox Mobile Group. The Jesta Group has acquired the assets from news Corp. The news follows on a 15% staff reduction in November.
Hudson Converts TurboGrafix Titles to iOS

Hudson has converted a range of old TurboGrafix-16 games into iOS games. The company made this move by releasing an official TurboGrafix emulator that provides access to the Hudson titles.

Ovi’s growth keeps progressing as the store is currently generating 3.5 million downloads a day according to Distimo. 92 Ovi publishers generated over one million downloads right now.

Samsung announced earlier that it expects to sell 10 million Galaxy S devices in 2010. As it seems right now, the company might manage to accomplish this milestone.
