SPB Expands its Connected Gaming Network to iOS

October 29th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS, Platforms: Windows Mobile | No Comments »

SPB Software has announced the availability of SPB Online Games. SPB probably noticed the value with a lot of social gaming networks receiving investments or getting acquired lately.

SPB Online Games first launched on Windows Mobile and attracted over 100.000 players on it that registered 2 million unique sessions. SPB Online Games consists of four games; English Checkers, Russian Checkers, Hexagon and Reversi. It is possible to play matches between Windows Mobile users and iOS gamers. The current build only really supports the iPhone and iPod. The company will come with a dedicated build for the iPad as well.

For now, the company has no plans to open up the network to other developers nor does Game Center support seems to be included.
