LG has officieally opened up their Applications Store for consumers. As the store is still in Beta, it launched ‘only’ in 23 countries excluding the United States and most of Europe.

A group of three iPad owners have decided to start a class action lawsuit versus Apple because the device overheats too easy in the sun. As a result, they think Apple can’t claim that the iPad is an e-reader.

Disney has just bought its second gaming studio in just under a month. This time, the entertainment company snaps up Playdom, a studio specialized in social and mobile gaming for a massive $763.2 million.

To fight Piracy on the Android Market, Google has introduced a new licensing service. Developers can use the licensing service to let their apps check if the phone they run on belongs to a registered buyer of the app.
