Vodafone to Launch Own App Store

According to a spokesman at Vodafone NL, the operator will follow O2 by launching it's own App Store for Vodafone subscribers. The launch is only weeks away according to the interview he gave to a Dutch website.

Research in Motion has finally opened up their highly anticipated app store for submissions. By taking this step, RIM hopes to follow Apple's massive success with their App Store.

MobileGamesDB Launches 2008 Publisher Top 10

Following the quality index of Pocket Gamer, MobileGamesDB has also released a top 10 mobile game publishers. Fishlabs is leading their charts, followed by Gameloft and I-Play.

Gameloft had a good day at the market as analyst WestLB recommended buying the company's shares. WestLB expects that Gameloft will be a winner when the economy recovers.

Connect2Media has licensed (what's according to them) the biggest word game television show. The company will turn Two Way Media's String 'em In into a mobile game.
Hudson Licenses Xpress Suite

Hudson Entertainment (the North American branch of Hudson) has chosen to license Javaground's latest version of the Xpress Suite. Hudson Entertainment will utilize the suite of tools to improve their J2me porting.
